Race Day Procedures
In order to take pressure off registration staff (as well as yourself!) on race day, we will be offering potential participants the ability to enter on Saturday the 26th of July. This registration session will take place in the Tenby House beer garden. We will be there 10.00 am to 2.00 pm to hand out the timing chips, as well as to take race entries. We will also take entries on the day, but please note that registration closes at 10.30 so we urge you to be early.
Registration on race day will be in Tudor Square, Tenby. If you have pre-entered the race, you should have received your timing chip in the post. Please remember to bring your timing chip with you on the day and ensure it is secured to your shoe laces. The race will start opposite Baclays Bank on High St and finish in Tudor Square.
Baggage storage will be in the Tenby 10k event trailer, this will be at your own risk, though it will be manned and therefore should be safe. Space is limited so we will operate this service on a first come first serve basis.
Public toilets are available at the start. Showers will be available at the Leisure Centre (just show your race number).
Don't forget to look on "Sportysnaps" website (http://www.sportysnaps.com) where photos from the race day will be available for purchase.
Please be aware that the closing date for postal entries is the Friday 11th July 2014.
The fastest male and female runners will receive a holiday prize. There will be cash prizes for all the age category winners. Please be aware that it is the policy of the Tenby 10k that the overall winners will not be eligible to receive the age category prizes.
This year we have changed to using disposable chips. For those of you that pre-enter the chips, as well as instructions on how they must be fitted will be included in your pre-race information pack. The chips must be attached to your shoe laces! Below is a video which shows how this is done.
